A Gentle Preparation to Kill/Prevent/Lice/Eggs
I am a Mum of two children aged 7 (grade 2) and 11 years (grade 7). My children attend Albany Creek State School, Brisbane, Australia. I have been using my own process to prevent head lice for 8 years.
This method has satisfied killing and prevention. I have never had the worry of being in contact with other children whom have had head lice as I know my method works.
8 years ago, I encountered head lice with my child. I decided to form a preparation to combat them. However, I was more interested in the prevention. I have now been using this method consistently for 8 years. I was concerned about the potentially harmful toxic cures at the chemist so with the help of a botanical chemist, I developed this shampoo.
This preparation is non-toxic, will not harm the eyes, biodegradable, no harmful chemicals that irritate the scalp or environment, shelf life of 2 years from preparation date.
Once this preparation has been applied to wet hair, the child MUST leave it on for a MINIMUM of 15 minutes. This is the only strict adherence to the outcome of elimination. As a guide, use 2 - 4 capfuls depending on hair mass. Make sure there is a good lather happening and all the hair is covered.
After the initial infection: Repeat the process again for the following 2 weeks – once a week. Then twice a month – consistently.
If you feel the need, you can go ahead strip and wash and go crazy with bed linen etc. However, the lice will not attach themselves to the hair after this application.
I use this process on my children twice a month – to keep their hair – lice resistant.
